Find The Real Value Of PI

By - Moataz Bellah Ramadan Ibrahim Mohamed

How to find the real value of “Pi” is the topic that will be discussed in the following lines starting with the concept of the circle, moving on to the trials and attempts that scientists did to find the most approximate value of “Pi”.

First things first to calculate the real value of “Pi” it`s necessary to understand well the concept of the circle. What is the circle? A circle is a number of lines forming a closed path together and the minimum number of lines is 6 lines forming a hexagon, 12 lines forming a dodecagon, and so on until the lines seem like curves as a result of their short lengths and changing in each line direction.

Archimedes is one of the most obsessed scientists with circles. Archimedes could calculate approximately the real value of “Pi” by the equation: Pi = the circumference of the circle / the diameter of the circle. If this equation was applied on the circle of 6 lines (hexagon)the result will be 3, if this equation was applied on the circle of 12 lines the result will be 3.106, and in the circle of 96 lines the value of Pi = 3.141 which is the most commonly used constant of Pi, so it is clear that by increasing the number of lines in a circle the value of Pi will be more accurate than the circle before it( lower in the number of lines), so to get the real value of “Pi” an infinite time and lines are required and this is impossible.

Last things last the real value of “Pi” ‘is impossible to be calculated till this time, so in the calculations including circles, an accurate value of “Pi” is used (3.14159265359).
